STEP 10 - BATHROOM SHARING

If a student lives on campus, chances are he or she will have to share a BATHROOM with someone, whether that’s one roommate, a few suitemates, or an entire floor of dorm students.

It’s probably a good idea to wear shower shoes in many of these cases, but don’t underestimate the cleansing power of MELALEUCA Essential Oil.

MelaleucaEssential Oil purifies feet and toenails to keep them clean and healthy-looking. Apply topically after showering.A drop or two can also be added to shampoo to promote clean and healthy-looking hair and scalp.

COLLEGE CLEANLINESS SURFACE CLEANER SPRAY RECIPE

10 drops MELALEUCA Essential Oil

10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

10 drops Lemon Essential Oil

12 tbsp. Vinegar

Put Essential Oils in an 8 oz. glass spray bottle. AddVinegar. Top with water. Shake and spray.

Roommates tend to borrow personal grooming itemsyou might not ordinarily want to share. Use MELALEUCA Essential Oil to clean makeup brushes and hair brushes.

BORROWED BRUSH CLEANING SOLUTION RECIPE

1 c. warm Water

1 tbsp. Shampoo, Castile Soap, or Cleaner Concentrate

10 drops MELALEUCA Essential Oil

FOR MAKEUP BRUSHES:

Combine ingredients in a bowl and gently stir.

Swirl makeup brush (one at a time) in the solution to remove make up.

Swirl on the palm of your hand (circular motion) to get excess makeup and gunk out.

Rinse under warm water until water running from brush is clear (bristles should be pointed downward during rinsing step.)

Blot and then let dry on a towel.

FOR HAIR BRUSHES:

Combine ingredients in a bowl and gently stir.

Remove hair from brush with your fingers or a comb.

Dip a toothbrush or cotton swab into the mixture.

Gently clean around bristles with toothbrush or cotton swab.

Dip the toothbrush or a new cotton swab into clean water and rub around the bristles to rinse the brush.

TIP: If your hair brush is made of strong, sturdy plastic, you can soak it for ten minutes in the solution before scrubbing. This isn’t advised for softer plastics or wooden brushes.
